Oakland Raiders - Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas The Raiders addressed QB this year, so in 2008 it will be a running back in this ongoing offensive overhaul. McFadden is one of the Heisman favorites at the moment, and it's unlikely he'll disappoint. 2. Houston Texans - Jake Long, OT, Michigan Long is the best lineman in the draft and the Texans have never had a decent offensive line in the history of the franchise. After QB Matt Schaub gets abused this season, Houston will be desperate for help. 3. Dallas Cowboys (from Cleveland) - DeSean Jackson, WR, California The Browns surrendered this pick in the Brady Quinn deal thinking they'll be good this season and therefore won't have an early pick. Wrong. Jackson is a speed demon and will probably come out early. 4. Detroit Lions - Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU The question is: will the Lions go wide receiver in the first round again? With Calvin Johnson on board and run-stuffing Dorsey available, the answer is no. 5. Buffalo Bills - Frank Okam, DT, Texas Okam is a beast in the middle and would have been a high draft pick this year had he declared. The Bills need defensive help after going running back in the first round in April. 6. Miami Dolphins - Sam Baker, OT, USC RB Ronnie Brown and QB-of-the-future John Beck will need some help up front and Baker will be able to provide just that. 7. Arizona Cardinals - Calais Campbell, DE, Miami (FL) Arizona is set on offense, but the defense needs help and it starts on the end of the line. Calais is a monster at 6-8 and should have a huge year for the Hurricanes in 2007. 8. Tampa Bay Bucs - Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville Jeff Garcia is just a short-term solution and the Bucs do not have a franchise QB on their roster. Brohm should convince the Bucs he is the answer with a Heisman-esque senior campaign at Louisville. 9. Atlanta Falcons - Kenny Phillips, S, Miami (FL) The Falcons drafted CB Chris Houston in April, this allowing Jimmy Williams to move to safety, but they know as well as anyone that you can never have enough guys on defense. Phillips is solid against the run and the pass, and the Falcons need every bit of both. 10. Minnesota Vikings - Early Doucet, WR, LSU Minnesota still needs help on offense, this time in the passing game having drafted RB Adrian Peterson in April. Doucet is an all-around solid player and should grab plenty of attention as the primary component of a stellar LSU offense. 11. Washington Redskins - Lawrence Jackson, DE, USC 12. New York Giants - Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia 13. Green Bay Packers - Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas 14. Jacksonville Jaguars - Limus Sweed, WR, Texas 15. St. Louis Rams - Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida 16. Denver Broncos - Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona 17. Carolina Panthers - Chad Henne, QB, Michigan 18. Kansas City Chiefs - Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC 19. San Francisco 49ers - Adarius Bowman, WR, Oklahoma State 20. Tennessee Titans - Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan 21. Dallas Cowboys - Barry Richardson, OT, Clemson 22. Seattle Seahawks - Martellus Bennett, TE, Texas A&M 23. Pittsburgh Steelers - Dan Connor, LB, Penn State 24. New York Jets - Mario Urrutia, WR, Louisville 25. Philadelphia Eagles - Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU 26. Cincinnati Bengals - Rey Maualuga, LB, USC 27. New Orleans Saints - James Laurinaitis, LB, Ohio State 28. Baltimore Ravens - Marcus Monk, WR, Arkansas 29. San Diego Chargers - Tom Zbikowski, S, Notre Dame 30. Indianapolis Colts - Keith Rivers, LB, USC 31. Chicago Bears - Jasper Brinkley, LB, South Carolina 32. New England Patriots - Phillip Wheeler, LB, Georgia Tech |
