Footballdialogue.com was initially created in 2004 to give players a platform to have scouts, media, and most importantly fans a chance to hear from their favorite players first hand. Following football closely for the past twenty plus years, I grew tired of hearing the so-called experts telling people what a player was like and I wanted instead to create a place for players to do it themselves. From that idea I’ve already interviewed nearly 150 players and have gained some unbelievable insight into what goes on behind the scenes in college football. These contacts have now also allowed me to learn the secrets that go into making an NFL roster and to make some great lasting friendships. The main focus of this site is always to help promote those players who take the time to talk with us.

FAQ's

How is footballdialogue.com different than other football sites?
Unlike a lot of smaller sites, we don’t just give you our opinions on players or games. Instead, we allow you to hear from the players and use what they tell us to guide you to a better understanding of college and pro football.

Who was the first player interviewed on footballdialogue.com?
Actually the first player I spoke to was Arizona Cardinals, Adam Bergen, when he was a senior at Lehigh. He was a great guy and I actually spoke with him several times leading up to the draft.

How did you team up with Bruce Johnson (safety on the James Madison 2004 National Championship team)?
I actually contacted Bruce when he was a senior at James Madison to do an interview and we hit it off immediately. Bruce saw the big picture and realized that I had the players best interest at heart and wanted to do his part to help players take advantage of such a website.

How did you get former Miami Dolphins and Notre Dame center Tim Ruddy as a contributor to the site?
Actually, Tim and I have been friends since grade school and graduated high school together in 1990. Tim was our class valedictorian and probably the most intelligent person I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. While all the negative stories get reported in college and professional football, if you ever want to learn about a true class act, do a Google search on Tim Ruddy. You will learn that football players can be successful students while in high school and college.

How can someone get in contact with you to have an interview done?
I am always interested in talking to any and all players and can be reached at Patrick@footballdialogue.com
