| Ask Tim Did you ever want to have the chance to ask an NFL player a question about training camp, preparing for a big game, or life after the NFL? Well now is your chance!! Former Miami Dolphins center and Notre Dame Alumni, Tim Ruddy, has agreed to field selected weekly questions from readers of footballdialogue.com on any football topic you might have for him. Tim has always been that rare combination of brains and brawn since his high school days in Dunmore, PA. While in high school, Tim maintained a perfect 4.0 in the classroom, while also earning a state championship in the shot put as a senior and two letters as two-way tackle, deep snapper and kicker. At Notre Dame, he was a four year letterman and two year starter. He was selected as a second-team All-America and first-team All-Independent by The Football News and Associated Press. Ruddy also posted a perfect 4.0 GPA his junior and senior years at Notre Dame. He graduated with 3.86 GPA. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering. Ruddy was the second-round draft choice (65th overall) of Miami in 1994. Ruddy started 140 games of his 156 games played in, 16 of those non starts were his rookie year, but he saw time in all of them. During most of his career he was the center for the legendary Dan Marino who holds most every meaningful NFL passing record and is widely recognized as one of the greatest quarterbacks in football history. In 2001 Ruddy was named to the Pro Bowl becoming the first Dolphins center to make it since Dwight Stephenson. Email Tim your questions at TimRuddy@footballdialogue.com .
